A friend of mine sent me this song recently. I don't listen to Sun Yanzi's song (I don't listen to Mandarin songs in general except for the old school ones), so I just thought it was just another nice song.
Until I went for a KTV session today with my gang of colleagues and someone sang this song, did I take note of the lyrics. And then I understood why this song meant so much to my friend. We consider ourselves victims of the same predicament, but now I realise the full extend of her pain.
My friend, this song's lyrics firmly reflect your feelings, your dilemma, and your frustration. I do not have much to say because I really think nothing I say can change anything. All I can say is you have picked yourself up, and really, lead your life the way you want. You can listen to this song and feel nostalgic, but let it be all it does to you. I will pray for you, because only through prayers and the Big Guy can we channel our pain away and truly find out what He means for us.
